How do
book orders work? Ideally, they will be pre-sold a few weeks before my
visit. (Both publishers would like a THREE WEEK lead time for orders.) I want to make
the process easy for you so...drum roll please...I give you the
book order!
There are a few different ways you can order books:
1.
Order from a local, independent bookstore. They'll give you a 20% discount
on each book!
This is a great option if you want to support your local Indie OR need books
faster than fast!
(Very helpful for last minute orders!)
2.
Order directly from the publishers. If you do this, you will get a 40-50%
discount!
Some schools pass the savings to the students while other schools use the money
saved to help defray the
cost of my visit. For example: You can charge $8.50 for my hardcover
books OR charge up
to the $16.95 list price and use the savings to help pay for the visit. Or...
meet somewhere in between.
That means that if you sell 100 Katharine books for $10.00, you will have
$150.00 to use toward my program.
If you are short on funds but want an author to visit, this option is ideal. To
make it extra easy-breezy for you,
I'll customize your book order to reflect the discount your school chooses to
give.
